  • Hosted statewide conference "Reducing Poverty: Legislative Solutions" attended by 75 community, non-profit, academic, and religious leaders brainstormed solutions
  • Hosted "Are You My Neighbor? Poverty in Pinellas County" open forum event
  • Honored as Homegrown Hero by WMNF radio
  • Launched a rooftop solar buyer’s cooperative.  Successfully completed in 2018
  • Launched Twitter feed and private facebook group for members
  • International Relations discussion group – 10 meetings
  • 70th Anniversary celebration raising $3000 for our reducing poverty program
  • Developed Local Handbook and Policy & Procedures Handbook

Voter Service/Outreach Events:

  • Mailed 2400 postcards to Pinellas residents in July 2020 to remind residents to vote by mail
  • Conducted 80 voter registration events in North Pinellas County
  • Hosted 6 Candidate Forums - nonpartisan public events for citizens to meet candidates and hear their message
  • Distributed 1000 Voter Guides through Pinellas County Library Coop
  • Held First-ever Party at the Polls to make voting fun and celebratory in Precinct 331 High Point area
  • Hot Topics – 6 including Amendments, Amendment 4, Natural Resources, National Popular Vote, Importance of Voting, Clearwater Mayoral Referendum
  • Presentations on Amendments – civic presentations about voting rights and responsibilities
  • Canvassing Board Observations – 15 days

  • Tallahassee Legislative Summit

Membership:

  • 188 current members
  • 39 % growth since April 2018
