The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan political organization encouraging the informed and active participation of citizens in government. It influences public policy through education and advocacy.

The Candidate Forum for Shasta Lake City Council was canceled just as it was scheduled to begin, October 6th, at about 8:30 p.m.

The candidates for that seat are Patrick Jones and Steve Morgan (incumbent), the top two in the March primary election.

The forum was held at the Shasta Lake City Council Chambers on Tuesday evening, September 15, following the City Council meeting. It was live-streamed and recorded. The website for accessing the recording is: 

Cathy Darling Allen, the Shasta County Registrar of Voters, joined the League to discuss 2020 Election procedures and answer our (many) questions.
